the best emails i get come from my sister. no contest.

thinking of grandpop and his navy buddies today. (he’s the one in the middle of the picture with the biggest smile; from all the stories he told, serving with those guys was one of the hardest and best times of his life.) more pics here.

there are a lot of shitty things about living in dc, but the shittiest by far is that i have to wait six more days to see this film, while it’s already playing at my goto theater in nyc.

maybe waiting is better though, since this is basically the only thing in my life that i am looking forward to.
